The grading system and the assignment of credits (marks) varies across universities. How does one convert these into US equivalencies? When one hears the term "Honours", what does it mean? This varies depending on the region and university. When a name on a document and the name given by a student vary, how do you decipher if it is the same person? In 2020, India announced its National Education Policy (NEP). This policy marks a major shift away from the Anglophone system. The major changes, from pre-school to the PhD level, will be discussed in detail. In addition to the structure of the education system, this policy also addresses the structure of the education segment such as the opening up of higher education to foreign universities. What is NAD (National Academic Depository) and how it is used to house credentials for portability and verification. India is making a major push into online education.

He presented at the TAICEP 2020 conference: The New Education Policy of India. Shanker has taught at the secondary and tertiary levels in the U.S. He was the CEO of a public company: Micronics, the world's largest motherboard company. Shanker has a Bachelor's of Engineering degree from NIT, India and a M.S. from the University of Kansas. He holds a management credential from Harvard University.
